Nestled in the pristine enclave of Yaroomba and within 100M of the beach, this house designed by award winning architect ANTHONY ROBINSON from SPROUT ARCHITECTS was designed to accommodate a growing family.
Taking cues from the surrounding village, the house is designed to nestle into it`s surrounds. Not ostentatious nor pretentious ,the dwelling offers the street few clues of what lies within.
Entry is through a 2 storey “crack” up the centre of the building. The entry facilitates a strong axis right through the structure setting up views across landscaped courtyards and beyond to a vast NE facing deck and sumptuous rear yard and generous pool enclosure.
Large boulders recycled from the previous grounds add to the native feel of the landscaping. Folding roof lines exaggerate the drama of the residence and help break down its scale into simple elements.
A range of timber and composite cladding again help this structure to blend into its seaside environment and, left to weather over time, will ensure an evolving aesthetic, sympathetic to the beachside community to which it belongs.
